Montgomery County police are asking for the public's help locating a missing 14-year-old girl last seen Monday, Aug. 17, near the 2000 block of Baltimore Road in Rockville.
Zeynab Nustrat Ali was last seen at 2 p.m., according to a Montgomery County Police Department press release published Tuesday, Aug. 18. The department's Special Victims Investigations Division, the unit that handles missing-persons cases involving minors, is leading the search.
Ali is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 120 pounds, with red hair, brown eyes and a pierced nose. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and black slides.
The 2000 block of Baltimore Road sits in Rockville, roughly five miles north of downtown Bethesda along a corridor many area residents travel regularly.
The Montgomery County Police Department posted the alert on its verified X account Tuesday morning, linking to the full missing-person flyer and asking residents to share the information. No update on Ali's status had been released as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Special Victims Investigations Division asks that anyone who sees Ali or has information about her whereabouts call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency line at 301-279-8000. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
