The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) logged five incidents in the Bethesda-area 2nd District over the Aug. 28–30 weekend, including a robbery on Wisconsin Avenue.

The most serious incident occurred Friday, Aug. 28, at approximately 3:44 p.m. in the 7400 block of Wisconsin Avenue, a high-foot-traffic commercial stretch in downtown Bethesda. A group of suspects assaulted a victim and stole their property, according to the department's weekend crime recap. As we reported Sept. 1, the incident was one of two daylight assaults reported downtown that week.

Earlier that same day, police reported a vehicle stolen from the 2300 block of Colston Drive. The theft occurred overnight, between 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, and 7:20 a.m. Friday.

Three more thefts rounded out the weekend in the 2nd District, which covers Bethesda, Chevy Chase and parts of Potomac:

• Property was stolen from a business in the 4800 block of Boiling Brook Parkway between 2:49 a.m. and 3:08 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.
• A motorcycle was reported stolen from the 11900 block of Parklawn Place between Saturday noon and Sunday morning.
• A second motorcycle was reported stolen from the 6400 block of Rock Forest Drive at 4:03 p.m. Sunday.

No arrests were reported in connection with any of the five 2nd District incidents.
