Montgomery County fire and rescue crews pulled a trapped occupant from a vehicle that had rolled onto its side on the 5100 block of Pooks Hill Road in Bethesda on Tuesday evening.

Units from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, including the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, arrived at approximately 9:41 p.m. after a 911 call reported a person trapped inside the overturned vehicle, according to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle before extricating the occupant, the squad reported. The patient was then transferred to EMS personnel for evaluation and transport.

The patient's identity, condition and the cause of the rollover have not been released.

"At 2141 hours, RS741B and units from the 2nd Battalion were dispatched to the 5100blk of Pooks Hill Road for a report of a person trapped in a vehicle on its side," reported Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad on Facebook. "The crew of RS741B, stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient. The patient was handed off to EMS for evaluation and transport."
